Maersk is an integrated container logistics company with over 95,000 employees in over 130 countries. Founded in 1904 by Peter Mærsk Møller and Arnold Peter Møller, Maersk's business activities include shipping, port operation, supply chain management and warehousing.
The Challenge
Face-to-face communication is an important part of building trust and rapport between employees and customers, video conferencing makes it easier for people to connect.
In the light of hybrid working mask adopted by Microsoft teams fairly early on in 2019. We established that our existing video conferencing solution was not fully integrated with teams and the rooms that people walked into often have multiple solutions. This made it really difficult for them to use and that's why we chose Logitech as we wanted a solution that would be high-quality low cost easy to deploy globally and easy to use.
The Solution
It really all started with the Logitech Tap which gives you that one-touch experience for the meeting rooms that are medium and large size we chose the Logitech rally system it's a modular system so you can scale up or down depending on the room requirements.
Moving on to more recent times Maersk have started to deploy Logitech rally bar which has the benefit of a second camera that allows people tracking and room framing. Also in the meeting room we've got to consider the whiteboards scribe is an ai powered whiteboard content camera that really turns an analog whiteboard into a digital one technologies like scribe really help to redefine what we like to call the power balance.
Where we look at the experience in the room and the experience for those outside of the room previously those who were not in the room would suddenly lose interest or lose engagement. Now we've got a camera over the whiteboard it enables the remote participants to continue to be fully engaged throughout the meeting sync allowing you to remotely manage all of these USB devices. This saves the Maersk it department time and also ensures a good end-user experience.
The Results
The results speak for themselves
We've deployed over 300 rooms in partnership with Logitech running Microsoft Teams and Logitech peripherals these rooms have been really well adopted by ion users who love collaborating in the new spaces Logitech solutions. They have been a facilitator of the more modern flexible working patterns that we now need with the new ways of working.
Overall Logitech ia helping us to reduce our business travel which is a much greener alternative than in-person meetings.
